An amalgamation of Edinburgh's most exciting and dance orientated bands, Instant Replay played a heady mix of original tunes and classic 70's disco hits.
The first to admit to their cheesy accusations, the band were there to entertain, and to that end, they did. Whether it be a Sister Sledge dancefloor classic, a James Brown funk floorshaker or one of their own hip compositions, those sequin clad hipsters are authentic.
Wonderwoman Sarah took a break from saving the world to keep her X-ray eyes on the guys in the band.
Gary (guitar) and Dave (bass) had played together for years in the finest funk bands Edinburgh ever produced (including the sorely missed "Papa's Magic Beard").
Drummer Scott and Rod had crossed paths before both in "The Shadowland" and "Groove Tunnel" but finally stuck in Instant Replay. Rod joined direct from "Jynx" after original keyboard player Dave Mason left to pursue a solo career.
Having built a name for themselves throughout the Scottish club scene in their first couple of years, the band dropped from the public eye after health problems affected one of the band. Eventually procuring the services of Rod Spark, the band were able to get back on track and relaunched onto the scene playing universities round Scotland before fragmenting into various different projects..
